i had a big argument in a hotel where i worked many years ago about Football and American Football , . It was over 20 years ago and the people i was arguing with were Americans , they didnt seem to grasp our Football but tried to RAM their Football down my throat , i dont much like either really , altho i do follow my local team . There are more Americans than there are Europeans , and i guess thats why American Football is so popular and our Football is not

idk, I'm American and quite frankly I don't care about football.

I dont see why *some* people think that American football is real thing. Football is the same all over the world- punt, catch, WHATEVER.

We call it soccer here in the USA. Very booooooring. We think it is. It's called "football" because when it was first begun, you used to have to drop-kick the ball, now they use a holder.

Have you ever watched American football? It's a pretty thrilling sport. I'm not exactly sure why soccer never caught on, but I wouldn't say Americans hate it.

read up on the history of american football. scoring a field goal (ie kicking it through the goalposts) used to be worth more points than a touchdown. while that has changed the name has stayed the same. i dont know about the rest i only have my opinion. if american football had been the game the rest of the world grew up on and we had soccer do you think that most of the world would think that soccer is inferior because it is an american game?? and love "american football" since it was there game they grew up with. absolutely. its all about whay you grew up with and play or played most of the time. i hate soccer, but i never grew up playing it or watching it. if I had I would probably like that better. you like what you know....
