Well, children are still learning to develop their gross motor skills (moving and coordinating large muscle groups for movements such as moving their legs) when they are in preschool and kindergarten. Some children develop quicker than others so it's best to just watch how coordinated the child is. Usually by age 8, they have developed much of their gross motor skills and can ride roller skates.
I got mine at 6, but I play hockey and am a boy so 7 sounds good
i was about ten..i had some of those that clamped onto your shoes too but mine didnt have a key..i was giped
