Question: I live in the Detroit area and am hoping to attend a family get together with some relatives that live in Canada.
I am a U.S citizen.
Does anyone know if I will need a passport to get into Canada?

If you are going to fly there probably yes. If you drive you can cross the boarder at one of the bridges with out one. Just need a valid driver license or state ID if a passenger in the car.

I know you'll need at least a drivers license & cerified copy of your birth certificate.
i live in lapeer, and yes you will still need one!
I don't think this year. You should have a drivers license with photo and consider your birth certificate. Not to get into Canada, but to return to Detroit.
