I started when I was around 13.. I did stop when I was pregnant with all of me daughters and started again after they were born.I got hypnotized once and stopped for 5months with that.I still smoke.

About 17, it made my throat hoarse.
I was 13 and I got sick and puked. I smoked on and off until I quit 5 weeks ago. I'm 23 now.
I think I was about 11. I gagged...the body's natural reaction to poison. I smoked off and on until I was about 22.
I tried it once when I was 18 and didn't care for it and havent smoked since.

14. I gagged on it. got sick, and had about 3 more before deciding that it just wasn't worth it to look "cool" (back then, it was thought that smoking made you look cool; I trust that has changed recently?).
Tryed smoking when iwas about 12. Dont smoke now and never will and im 27.

19. smoked for 12 years. have been a non smoker for 2.5 years.
I started smoking at age 16, quit at 16 1/2. That was 34 yrs ago. But I think I'll take it up again in about 20 yrs when it really won't matter.

I was 12 and i got a migrane after my first time. I still smoke, im almost 20

I think I was like 11. I didn't continue with it though. I had hung out with friends that smoked, but when I moved nobody I new did it, at least when I was with them. Besides whenever I did smoke I got a sore throat, it tasted nasty, and my eyes burned. I guess it just wasn't something I wanted to stick with.
14. Was never a heavy smoker. Maybe one or two. Smoked on and off for about 30 years. Quit 4 years ago. That was that. No desire to take it up again.

one time i stoled my dad's and was going to smoke but, he came home early that day from work and decided to clean the attic and well i just so happened to hide them in my closet and well that is were the attic was so i was standing there and he was about to pull off the clothes that was hiding the darn things and well then for some strange good reason he stopped and said i gotta go get something you get finished and i will be back. well to my surprise i took them darn things and ran out the front door and throw ed them as hard as i could in the woods and i was so glad because my father told me if i did smoke i would have to eat a pack buds and all wow, and well i never did get caught but one day i did tell him after i grew up and was with kids and we laughed about it now.....
First time I smoked a cigarette was in college, didn't like it at all, then a friend introduced me to cloves, I had them for a few years, but quit several years ago.
I've smoked hookah (you know what herb) since I was in my late teens, with my dad. It is typical in his culture to smoke after meals sometimes or when relaxing.

I was 13, coughed once and then it was like I had always smoked. I didn't smoke regularly until about 16, and have tried to quit 6 different times with no success. I am 45 and wish their was some magic to give me the will power I need to end this addiction.
