I just roll it in between my fingers and flick it.
In a zip lock baggie until I can add it to my collection of course. I have jars full of them from ever since I was a kid.
Just kidding... That would really be gross! I place them in the tissue and throw them out. And yes, EVERYONE picks their nose occasionally. There are some that just won't come out by blowing.

I don't now but when I was a toddler, I ate it. It tasted like chicken, I think.
