Do you prefer a adsl modem or wireless router?!

Unless you have a laptop, P.D.A. or some other W.I.F.I. equipment, then a wireless router is pointless.
I have a A.D.S.L. router.

Wireless router all the way, reliable and i can move anywhere round the house with laptop and sit in the garden on a nice day!
