Does anyone have any experience with electric fences for dogs?!

Question: Did you have to train your dog or did you pay somebody to train it?

I know someone that had one. He only had to have it active for a few days....the dogs quit going around it after a while and stayed way away...when they started to get curious every 6 or 7 months he would plug it in for a few days....he seemed to be able to tell when his dogs had gotten close to it....

yes i did..and boy does it hurt..my dog just stood by and laughed at me...thats why i am a ning-nong

My friend had an electric fence and I did not know it was a charged fence (no sign) and then it like, zapped me and my arm went kinda numb.. haha.
