i think most parent try to teach their children to be loving to everyone one and everything, but we the aunts, uncles , grandparents teachers and Friends all can share some of the load too. we should show them to loving kids and grown ups by what we do ourselves. if we show them to be mean to all then most likely they will be mean but than sometimes it works for the good because they may really learn that being mean is not a good thing and turn the other way and do goodness towards all instead.

yes it is. I think i take it to the extreme, I homeschooled my kids and ppl thought I was wierd, got so much bull$hit over it so i had to put them back in school. But, yeah, it is our job.
I think that as a parent it is my responsibility to guide and teach my children to be good people and to respect everyone. Do you respect everyone? Including parents and their children?
They have primary responsibility for that. They must teach them by setting a good example!
Well, because there are so many people out there who really don't teach their children much of anything, I feel that my primary responsibility is to teach my children how to be the best person they can be (daughter wants to be an x-ray tech/son wants to be a sheriff's deputy) while not being a doormat. To exercise their boundaries while not doing anything (physically or emotionally) to harm other people. It works both ways.
it's important but not #1 i think infecting them with love is primary it's very contagious and they will have a fulfilled life!
That is why some of us are good parents .
