I need answers !!!?!

Question: Why do the they put tennis balls on the bottom of geriatric walkers ?? It's a mismatch in technology .
That's like putting a baby nipple on a bottle of claret .

My grandma has one. The downside is that it takes her half an hour to cross the room .
The upside is that at least we know she's in bounds.

Someone please !! Why tennis balls ??

Old people can't exactly bend down and take the tennis balls off the bottom. It started as a joke when an old person got one because her dog always chewed on the bottom of her walker, then she found out it made the walker work better and the craze spread.

so it can roll (?)

So it can roll

Ha ha I've no idea!

So they drag easily! Although they should come up with some new form of technology to rid that notion!

They're cheap protection for vinyl and wood floors.

Keeps her rig from sliding!

it stops the walker from sticking ot the carpet and helps it to slide better.

so they don't slide and go skittering off and fall down

They keep people from getting stuck

protects the walker from sticking in things, and also protects the carpet from being torn up too.

Cause on a non carpeted area, it allows the person to go places but, without the walker itself "getting away" from it's operator. They're most commonly used in nursing homes....
