Answers: What was your first thought when u first saw ur first child?

That is an emotion that is ineffable. It's also one I will never forget!
Sometimes when we are having teenage challenges, I'll go back in my mind and recall when they were innocent children...it helps to deal with the current challenge in a healthy, healing manner.

I thought she was the most beautiful thing that I had ever seen and I wished that they would hurry up and hand her to me!

I would be sooooooo happy and touched. =)

I was absolutely amazed. Speechless. So in love. (But I thought something was wrong with his head cuz it was so smushed lol)

My first thought when my first son was born was honestly he is perfect, I want to hold him then I need to sleep...(14 hrs labor and a c-section later). My first thought when my second son was born was "oh my gosh he looks exactly like Bill (my husband)"

He's so... small, red and wrinkly! And look at all those tubes! Can he breathe? I hope he isn't in pain!

How clever am I! No-one else has EVER done anything like this! When I had the second one, the only thing I could think of was "thank God, there's only one!" (She was one of twins, but only one survived.)

he looked so delicate and peaceful sleeping , i was to afraid to pick him up. he was a spitting image of me,as a newborn.

relief. i had such a rough labor and delivery i was just plain relieved that it was over, i closed my eyes and then i opened and looked at my boyfriend holding him for the first time, and saw and felt so much love it was unbelievable. the rest was a blur, but i remember feeling warm and surrounded by just a huge sense of love and happiness.

wow, perfect!

I will never forget that day and it's as if it happened yesterday, but it was 9 years ago. She was so pink and pretty, and I couldn't believe that was my little girl that I have been waiting to meet. She almost died when I was having her so they had to knock me out and do an emergency c-section. They held her up for me behind the glass while they wheeled me to my room. They brought her to me, and I didn't want to put her down...ever. She's growing up too fast too!

I thanked God that he was healthy and beautiful :)

Oh she looks just like her Father.

otherwise I was pretty exhausted for any thought or feelings. That came later.

As the room hazed into the background all i saw were these beautiful blue eyes gazing at me and nothing else mattered in the world my life finally had meaning i found everlasting unconditional love
