Why are so many Americans obsessed with Jesus?!
Question: I'm with everyone having their own religion. "To each his own", is my philosophy.
But why do some Americans have bring Jesus into EVERY SINGLE TOPIC OF CONVERSATION?!?!?! I was talking about real estate prices with one of friends the other day and some American tourist walked up to us and said we, "need to have faith in Jesus." WTH?!?!

Because all the hard core Christians came over here to practice their religion, and it has kinda stuck around for the past few hundred years.

well muslims sometimes bring allah in every topic i am muslim and proud but i dont talk about religion 24/7 they can if they want if you dont like it ignore em and listen from one ear talk out from another

Because they are just too lazy and want to put their "Faith" into things instead of just doing them. "God will save us" why don't they just get their lazy @sses up and run? You know? Crap like that. Hehheh, honestly I'm jewish, and I'm annoyed by it.
There was this one guy I know that was really close to commiting suicide, so we brought him to a psychiatrist. I thought he was going to say something normal, but, NOOO...YOU MUST ACCEPT JESUS IN YOUR LIFE TO LIVE! OR ELSE YOU ARE SINNED AND MUST BE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK FOR ETERNAL DAMNATION!

Manjula, not many Americans are obsessed with Jesus. There are certain groups who think it is their right to preach to anybody. Kind of like the Hare Krishna groups who preach about Krishna everywhere. Every religion has groups like that. I am not religious and I ignore all the preachers. I am with you on the "to each their own". :) :) :)
Most probably are acting in love, wanting to share the best thing in their life with you. Some may be acting out of guilt or obligation.
FYI, do you realize that by considering all religions equal and individual, you insult all by saying that none can really be true. What if the teacher asked what x was in "x + 3 = 8?" You answer 5 but are told that your answer is just as good as the student that answered 4,521. He/she would in effect be saying that there is no truth only opinion, diminishing the value of your even looking for a true answer.
I don't think they're obsessed with Jesus so much as they're very passionate about their belief system. I'd be happy if I were that passionate about anything.
