What do you do when a telemarketer/dodgy business won't stop calling you?!

Question: This is so funny.

I hate them calling and of course one of the Indian Call Centres rung.
You can tell when it's one of these Call Centres as there is a long, silent pause before you are connected and they speak, so I knew what sort of call it was.
When they asked if they "could please have a moment of my time?" I responded with " I can't right now. I am robbing the place and just thought I would answer the phone!" Gob smacked this lady stumbelled over her words and asked me to "Please put the owner of the phone, on the phone?" which I responded with " I can't do that. Like I said I am in the process of robbing the place and I need to help my mate lift the Plasma TV outside to the car, before he drops it and the owners get home."
With that she gasped and hung up on me!

Still in a fiesty anti-telemarketer mood, they rung again. This time it was a guy and I answered in a little kids voice.
Again they hung up on me.

It felt soooo good and Dylan and I had such a good old laugh.

Since then they have never called again! Ever.
Maybe they don't want the 'home owner who was robbed' to know that they did nothing to 'stop the robbery at the time it was occuring'.

I try to sell THEM random stuff I have laying around the house. They eventually hang up on me. It actually gets to be rather hilarious!

I don't have that problem anymore. I'm on the national 'do not call list'.

i always call them back if they have a number in the caller idea call them back and bug them..ask them fifty million questions..and keep calling..9 times out of 10 it works..there are also plans you can get from your phone company to block the numbers from your phone..godd luck

I just lay the phone down, and don't have to say a word....they get tired real fast and
hang up...lol

I don't know about that but I would like to know if you would be interested in remodeling your home. I don't have a contractor's license or a legitimate business but I would like to come and inspect your house to see if I could improve it.

never tried this myself but you could blow a whistle into the phone mouthpiece.

i like the lay the phone down on the table idea. We also screen all our calls with our answering machine. We rarely even ever answer our house phone anymore as no one who loves us ever uses that number. lol. I come home and listen/delete any messages. most are "hey, want insurance on your credit card?" calls.

I try to remember that just like a knock at the door, we're not obligated to answer the phone. caller id and answering machines are great personal secretaries!
