I am older than you, too & I always had more friends that were guys than girls so...you just got to talk to them like they are your friend, because that is the best way to start :o) and like fickle 1 said it will happen...you are still young, sweets, give it time :o) *BIG HUG*
Hi Drew, don't worry babe, they most likely don't notice ,and think you are no comfortable, there's only "you" knows that you are finding it hard, its just your confidence that needs building up, don't read too much into that, it comes with experience, just keep trying it out with "small talk" to anyone, and,everyone you meet- the more you talk- the more confident you will become. trust me on that. i can feel for you completely.. its the same on my side of the fence as well.. its easier to talk to someone whom i consider a friend, but someone i have an interest in ..i can't seem to look them in the eye.. .and trust me... i talk and talk and talk.....lol
Try starting a conversation...about ordinary things.. maybe the weather today...or if they are wearing a shirt... with a cool saying on it and you like it.. say something...or start a conversation about music.. trust me everyday topics may be the key.
