I know a gay man who would kill to work in the fashion industry - that's the stereotype. I also know a gay man who's in business school.
There are gay men in every career. Same with straight men. The "perfect career", their calling, is whatever best suits them as an individual... To try to make assumptions about interests and suitable careers based on orientation is not only stupid, it's in some sense discrimination.
