Yes he is taking you for granted and if you decide to leave him first look for signs of future abuse. Call him out on it, and make sure he knows that your worried about it being an unhealthy relationship. This should help if he actually cares about you.
Don't claim him; life is too short to be treated "hot and cold." Get some one that isn't a water faucet.
