Does your cat use the houseplants as a toilet?!

Question: I am embarrassed to admit it, but yes. My son's wife has the same problem. She put aluminum foil around the base of her plants and that has seemed to stop it. My present cat is very fussy and will only use Fresh Step cat litter and if the box has too many lumps, he comes and gets us to fix it! lol

  • I'd rip its head off if it ruined my plants with all that ammonia

You think I'd let the cat into the house? The only time I go near it is to Chase it out of the house, the sneaky little b****.

LOL - no and thank god- what a mess that would be - she only chews on them

No, but mine ate a whole spider plant once and threw it up all over the house! I have heard of some cats doing this. Is your litter always scooped? Sometimes they will find other places to go if they are not satisfied with the condition of their litter box.

i had a huge ficus tree and the cats started using it's pot to piddle in. i had to put it outside, then it died. :(

no they do not. They either go outside or in the litter box

No, I don't have any cats in this apartment.
