Why do some people choose not to have children?!

Question: Don't like kids, would rather not be burdened, love the intimacy of their marriage/relationship without having any other person intruding on it, be free of a massive commitment, fear of the responsibility, think there are too many orphans in this world, the world is overpopulated as it is, not attracted to the domestic lifestyle.

to much work

because of financial constraints

because kids are a hassle >=(

because we don't want to be pregnant... or we don't like children

for many reasons...it's a life long commitment

Perhaps they don't like children. Or because the world is already overpopulated. Or in my case, there's simply too much I want to do during my short time on this planet, children basically shut down what you can do for 20 years,Too much time and too much money. no thank you sir.

sometimes what they want from life just doesn't involve children.. They want the freedom to pick up & move for their career or whatever the reason

maybe they're satisfied w/ their life already..

some don`t have the patience, or maybe they don`t want to have to support other people financially. =)

speakin 4 myself, i dnt want it coz i dnt wana get pregnant.... but i do want 2 have a baby so im goin 4 adoption soon

I have always felt that one should only have children if they really want them, not because it's expected of them. Unless someone is really enthusiastic about raising children, they are not going to do a good job. I feel that it is cruel and irresponsible for women to just reproduce because they can't be bothered with using birth control, or because they are being pressured by family members.
I have chosen not to have children. Not because I can't afford to or because I don't have a husband. I have been married to the same man for 20 years and he makes a very good living. People kept telling me I would change my mind when I got older, but now I'm almost 50 and still quite happy with out children.

travel, travel and travel...alone

I suppose because many people have not enough money and/or work.

life long commitment
