I'm really not an attention seeker, but if I wanted someone's attention, I would probably act like an a-hole. That works.
Say "excuse me, ...." and ask them a question or compliment that person.
Just come up to them and say hi.
It depends on who it is!! If it's family I will usually get some kind of evil grin on my face that will make them wonder what I'm up to!! If it's someone I don't know then I will just smile, if they're cute, I will smile and flirt!! A girl's got to have fun!!
Go right over to the person and introduce myself. Why beat around the bush?
