lol... I like the idea I read from a woman who would put things like expensive battaries or condoms on the belt in front of people who cut in front of her in line, or had more than the allowed 12 items in a the express lane.

you didnt do either of those things did you? lol

You should ask my mom...lol I always sneak things in the cart and put it up by the resigster when shes not looking..lol

bingo! yes

YEP I SCORED SOME BREAD AND FLOUR WAS ABOUT TO TAKE IT BACK BUT I DID NOT!

yes, but it's soon discovered where it came from..

haha that is...........not funny

For me, the answer is always the same.........

I should have eaten before I went shopping!

I always go overboard if I'm hungry when grocery shopping.

Nope.
I always use the self check-out.

lol.. wow funny story..

No, usually I'm missing them! Now I know where they went! lol!

I have never had that happen, but as I get older I have found that I will head for the store with specific stuff in mind and come home with every BUT that stuff. moreover, I also find I am strolling thru the place in my sweatpants and top, which I sleep in, and its possible I havent brushed my hair.
retirement did me in..LOL

one time but we brouight it back and turns out I had left stuff
myself,

Your hubby snuck some stuff into the line and paid the cashier to ring it up last to make sure it looked like someone else's order. You have a sneaky hubby.

Yes I have, and that's the pitts.

Nope, can't say that's ever happened to me. i know the kids sneak a lot of stuff in the trolley that i don't see til i get to the checkout, but other peoples stuff? i say...'thats not mine'!! you must have a huge grocery bill! lol

yes

Your husband threw those in... if they belonged to the lady behind you, she'd have put the smack down on the cashier before her/his hands were even ON those Twinkies..

I am so cautious of that. I put the separater between each me and the people in line. Did the cashier charge you for all these things? I am so careful to watch what is being rung up and the price because they make mistakes too! I love the computerized cashier where I am scanning the items and bagging them. I see it all!

thats a bummer for her but great for you!!!! indeed a waste of time to go back!!! it cost more money on gas then the food you got extra!...lol

HEY I ALWAYS SEEK THINGS INTO THE CART AND WHEN WE REACH HOME MOM WILL BE LIKE,''DID I PICK UP THESE THINGS,''

Every time I go shopping with my kids

yep or better yet a walmart lastnight some on left their bag n cashier gave me their stuff plus mine hey free gum n cigs.

i think it is pretty bad because you paid for it...

Yes. I don't have a car, and I usually take the bus to the store, or walk. It really irritates me when I arrive home and find that a bag has been left on the counter by the bag boy- and I paid for it. Or worse, someone else left with my things, and I paid for them. Luckily, I have a grocery store that I can call, explain the situation, and they will take my word for it next time I go to the store. But, it still irritates me, though. Because no one can pay me back for the extra time and inconvenience.

No...I always have the opposite happen to me. I'm always forgetting something.

The possibilities are:

1. The Kids SNUCK something into the cart .. which is why I ALWAYS checked everything in the cart at the end of EACH Aisle and then JUST BEFORE I went into the line ... (Thank Goodness I am NOW an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree .. as a Single Parent (and Long Term one!) It was SO DIFFICULT to find time to grocery shop in peace .. and NOT have to deal with kids sneaking in unhealthy choices)

2. The person behind thought it was 'funny' to try to get someone else to pay for their groceries (and this has happened to me, unfortunately).

3. Cashier "Mistake" -- which I ALWAYS Catch ... I KNOW what I am purchasing!

Call the store, tell them about the problem. Keep your receipt.
They will probably be willing to have someone pick up the
unwanted items and adjust the account to your satisfaction.
No need for you to have to drive back to the store. Most managers will either adjust the charges or tell you to keep the unwanted items since they are probably perishible and they write it off. They are good about that at most stores.

Once,my 3 years old son took one of those key ring (the ones who can also put a picture in).Anyways, when I got home that day,I notice that he was playing with it and didn't realize at first that he took it while we were checking out of the store.I asked my daughter where did he get the item and she told me that he got it from the store.
On my way to work that night,I stop at the store and went to costumer services isle and had them scan the tag and paid them the $3.50 I owe.

WHEN YOU BRING YOUR BABIES TO THE STORE WITH YOU,THEY OFTEN BECOMES YOUR WIZARD......(LOL).

Well honey, the 2 possibilities you've mentioned happen one too many times and in most cases, it's often in the supermart though. Here's the conclusion of the 2 possibilities though:-

* Stuffing unknown stuffs without payer's knowledge - This is always the case when comes to families and friends wanting to buy groceries but either refusing to pay or knowing that the payer will disagree to the items, they become sneakers instead.

* Cashier gave me some of the stuff that was in the order of the lady behind me - There are times when the queue is long that in order to shorten it, the cashier's speed hastened, resulting into keying in items that are not even in the payer's list though. Either or that as the back queue lady puts her groceries onto the cashier, she didn't pay attention to them as the items are combined with yours though.

Gees.....

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

yes

when my grand kids go shopping with me i always end up with stuff i didn't get >lol
