Question: I usually am not this soft. I don't understand why this hurt so bad. I asked a question for help on a book idea and someone totally said it was basically uninteresting, stupid, and no meaning. She said nobody would like it and nobody would want to pay to read it...

Whenever we are criticized like that, it upsets us. Keep in mind that you are not dealing with literary critics on this site. For all you know, this person could be a crazy lunatic. Don't show your work on Yahoo. Instead, go to a teacher or a professional. Keep your chin up and don't give up.
Obviously you are serious about this and she cut you down hurtfully over something you really want to have happen. Whether she meant it in a mean way or not isn't the point. She shot you down, and that sucks when you are serious about something. I am sorry.
