No kidding!!.. i hate that little key thing and spam also... what a pain. I think its like that so you can open it anywhere without a can opener.

You could always go on the web,and ask
them how cans are made.Or you can write to the company who makes corn beef and ask them.

If it is in a tin and can be stored in the cupboard for months then Im sorry but it sure aint like any meat Ive ever bought! Buy a few slices of pure corned beef in the deli and then tell me you dont taste the difference!

i think the people who make the tins do it on purpose, cause they are so sick of looking at it all day.. hence you struggle, get frustrated, stop buying it, they can stop making it and ta da...THEY WIN!! but rewster..nevergive up... you cant let them win man...YOU CANT LET THEM WIN!!
Public safety. The stuff is so full of fat and salt it's best to leave it where it is. They're safety cans-put you off opening another for a long time.
