This is my wife's question ( she is 82 yrs young)... Would you ever consider!

Question: adopting a grandparent? Find one living alone or in a nursing home and spend time with them getting to know them. I'm not asking for you to move them into your home, just tear down barriers and have generations better understand each other.
Some may be surprised how much love we can be learned from each other when we take the time. (See why I love this lady?)
Yes, guys, I married an older woman. She is 12 years older than me... the craddle robber. lol

When I was in nursing school, we had to do clinicals in several nursing homes. I loved being around the people I met there. There wisdom and humor is unparallel to most. My daughter and I have visited people in nursing homes and found great friends in the process. Like the older ladies, do ya? LOL...........

Yeah I guess

that is a really good idea. yes i would consider that...older folks have alot of good stories, and remind me of my grandparents

The nursing homes in Columbus, mississippi, will NOT let you. If you are not a relative you are NOT allowed in to visit. I remember as a child my parents taking us to nursing homes once a month just to brighten a older person's day. We would take small gifts, even if just a hanky, and visit with them. Now it seems impossible to do. And I for one think that it is a shame.

Yes I would. I have a customer that comes in once a month to pay his bill and he is here for 1.5 to 2 hours just talking. My 9 year old son loves to listen to his stories too. Or course I'm almost 37 years old and I'm guessing some of those younger whipper snappers might not find the stories that interesting.

absolutely, I adopted you and you're older than dirt

Yes i would love too adopt a grandparent. My grandparents are deceased as well as my parents. And yes we could learn from each other.
