Answers: Its not strangers per se but happens in close quarters, let's say in a group or school/work setting as an example. I dont think it's about looks either. Since im far from ugly. So what could it be about?

if it happens most of the time, probably you have this psychological state (sorry, i forgot the term) that you think everyone is talking about you where in fact their not. you're just too conscious of other people talking about your "negatives" so ignore them. you should appreciate yourself more.
