All doctors, whether doing a clinic consultation, a proto exam or following surgery, are required by law to wash their hands and even before putting on the rubber gloves for surgery! I'd hate to have to use the strong soap they must use up to their elbows-it has to be abrasive.

My own clinic dr. washes his hands in my consultation room if he has not had time to do so from being with a previous patient, before shaking my hands. Love that guy. very conscientious and caring.
I'd wait till he took his gloves off!

After bringing up kids and looking after the very elderly for 20 years a bit of sh*t doesn't scare me!
i guess that would go the same for our GYNECOLOGISTS!!
