Question: Geeze they lost to the Saints.

Answers: Geeze they lost to the Saints.
Hawks my biatch this week!!!
The Saints are back!! They were having a blast playing ball last night. I think that's what they needed. Thank God the rest of our conference sucks so we still have a chance at the playoffs/bowl

What about that LSU game? That was insane, but a great game none the less
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
sorry, sometimes that stuff just slips out
Any given Sunday...anything can happen.
hahahahahaha they suck!

Oh wait, we lost to the damn Vikings.
Hey, don't knock my Saints...they had to beat somebody.
Looks like the "Aints" are back! I'm pretty mad that the hawks got beat so badly as i have Hasselbeck and their D in one of my fantasy football leagues.
I bet Munkey and the Queen are really happy today!!!!
Reality has set in - and my reality will be shattered because I will be at the game when they play the Rams. On paper before the season it was a great match up, now it is an outrage!
Remember what happened to Sampson in the Bible? He lost his hair and his power. Take a look at Hasselbeck and Holmgren-- 'nuff said!
It must be that huge camera that fell took away their mojo. And to think I just traded Brees on my fantasy team.
at least the Lions didn't lose this weekend
I hope Hawk is puckering up right now....he has a bet to pay up to MunkeyLuv...
i thought they were helicopters???
Hasselbeck still had a pretty freakin good game...minus the one pick. Its more than i can say for Alexander...glad i have Hasselbeck in my FF and not Alexander...37 yards...wassup with that nonsense?!
The offense of the Seattle Seahawks continues to churn in so many ways – from the two young starters in the center of the line – center Chris Spencer and left guard Rob Sims – to the addition of free agent tight end Marcus Pollard.

And Sunday night in the 28-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Leonard Weaver started at fullback in the wake of Mack Strong’s sudden absence from a career-ending neck injury; Ben Obomanu played considerable snaps with starting split end D.J. Hackett still down with a high ankle sprain; veteran Bobby Engram started at flanker for the first time this season as Deion Branch’s sprained foot heals; and lastly, new long-snapper Boone Stutz was hired and Derek Rackley fired in a move to shore up an inconsistency so far this season on special teams.

Stutz had a bad punt snap on the first series that bounced away from punter Ryan Plackemeier and was recovered for a touchdown. Later a punt was blocked, but that was a missed blocking assignment – not the result of a bad snap.

Weaver 40 yards on 3 carries – including a big 37-yard run in the fourth quarter that extended a drive; he also had four receptions for 53 yards, the big one 22 yards. Obomanu caught a 17-yard touchdown pass among his four catches; and Engram was his usual special self with a game-high nine receptions that makes him far and away the leading receiver on the team with 28. But there was no consolation in statistics on this perfect night for football.

“I don’t feel good about anything right now,” Engram said. “This is a resilient team. Nobody in this locker room likes this feeling right now. We’ll stick together and we’ll bounce back.”

And then there is the youth. Weaver the young fullback had some special moments with the ball, but we’ll have to remain reserved about his blocking until looking at the films. What we do know is Shaun Alexander was held to 35 yards on 14 carries, and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was sacked five times.

Those are not great numbers when you’re talking about blocking.

“It was one of those games when you want to come out and do a good job, but the Saints came out and did a great job and won,” Weaver said. “For me, I’m the kind of a guy who wants to be perfect. I’ve just got to do better. As far as I’m concerned, there was nothing they were doing we couldn’t pick up. Some of the stunts they were doing, we just missed. They just did a great job.”

Obomanu looked very good sometimes, and there were others where he was clearly uncertain about the check-offs coming from Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck also suffered some indignities when some routes weren’t run quite right either.

“I think I contributed some plays, but there are still some things I need to work on,” Obomanu said. “Timing and getting used to Matt – sometimes he’s changes some things in the game - overall, I’m pretty optimistic that I’ll continue to get better. “

That’s the hope, with neither Branch nor Hackett expected back until Nov. 4 at Cleveland, after the bye week. It will take time for the young players to develop, but Engram, 34, doesn’t want to hear it. When the opportunity comes, those moments have to be seized.
