It is a number with creepy connotations. I am not that fond of it, I wouldn't stay in a hotel room with that number or buy a house with that number. When I worked in a grocery store in a primarily Catholic community, if someones purchase came to a number ending in 666, they would buy a few nickel candies to skew the number. A couple of the young rebels would say. 'Cool!' but for the most part people just didn't relish being associated with that specific number.
