I don't 'run' anywhere anymore. I have a machine to answer the phone, so I don't want to take away its job. Besides which, the number of wrong number calls has taught me to screen all calls anyway. If it's important, or someone who knows me..they know to leave a message or call back.

If it's the house phone I rarely answer it, just let the machine pick up.........but my cell phone is usually glued to my hand.I used to be so bad I would fall asleep holding in my hand, I literally never let it go, except at work and even then it was in my pocket of the scrubs or apron depending which job I was at and I'd check it at least every 30 minutes.I'm much better now ;-}

German people "tend" to let a phone ring. After all, you wouldn't let people interfere with a conversation would you?

my caller id is hooked up to my tv so i can see who is calling and if it's someone i don't want to talk to i'll let the machine get it.if it's someone i want to talk to i'll get up and answer it

I will check to caller id, then usually always answer it.

I screen all calls and rarely answer it, most of the time my phone is muted! :)

I usually jump when the phone rings....but I will usually let someone else answer it...or let the machine get it if I am home alone....although there are exceptions. It depends on my mood.

I used to be, now i'm the person who doesn't check the voicemail for DAYS let alone answer when it's actually ringing :)

If I don't recognize the number I don't answer (personal reasons). If they don't leave a message I don't call them back. I pretty much hate the phone. My sister is the only one I always answer for. ALWAYS.

With a sister in another state, a nephew in Iraq, family with health issues and calls from my doctors I have to see who is calling. If it a bill collector I am more apt to just let the machine get it though, lol.

Unless I'm expecting a call, if I'm not close or have the cell part with me, I let the machine get it.
