Question: It's because that's all that they're ever exposed to. All you ever see on MTV and VH1 is all that kind of music. It's to bad that they don't ever play something good like Elvis Presley, or the Beatles.

because alot of the stuff that is out is pathetic
im a teen and even i agree. its bcuz most teens themselves these days are pathetic. i mean come on, who wants to listen to rap where all they talk about is drugs, sex, and violence and rock where its basically the same thing with suicide thrown in???
some of the stuff they listen to is pretty tragic but then so is billy ray Cyrus and alot of kids in the 90's where listening to achie breaky heart (not me i hate country music & billy ray especially) . but then as a kid i loved bob marley, jj cale, sting, fat boy slim, sneaker pimps, dido,alanis morressette.
