Question: Say for instance......my friggin legs!!!!!

Answers: Say for instance......my friggin legs!!!!!
I'm not sure.. I think it's strictly to aggrevate the phuckin' sh*t out of you..
Thats the mystery of cats! We'll never know.
Cats do this like on your lap (poor you)!! and on soft materials because it is reminding them of their kitten hood and when they used to tread on their mothers' stomachs to get milk.

Actually its a complement if they do this to you, means they love you!!
The way we like to fluff our pillows before we lay down to go to sleep. Cats are just finicky like that.
Lol! yeah it hurts when they got their claws out! Its a comfort thing. When cats are kittens they dig their paws into their mums tummy to get the milk flowing and I guess when they get older they do it when they feel comfy, warm and safe.
hmmm... good question! probably to check its soft, adapt their paws to the new environment, ect.
To make it/you comfortable.
It's an inherited thing. Before they were domesticated, they would do that to make their bed, so to speak, by making the grass and whatnot lay down thus making a bed for themselves to sleep in.
They are making a nest, cats have done this from the start of time
