Stupidity - the difinitive difference between Brits and Yanks?!

Question: I was thinking last night that there has been a bit of a shift in the time-dynamics of Yahoo answers. A few months ago, the late nighters (from a uk point of view) contained the less uptight cartel of answerers and less of the assorted bigots, religious maniacs and humourless egits. However, the daytime to early evening shift seems to be a little more laid back at the moment.

I caught myself making a sweeping generalisation of assuming there were more Americans here late on and they were the ones making up the bulk of the pitchfork waving, burning cross toting killjoys - but then stopped to think that actually, both nations have more than our share of dangerously stupid individuals (I mean, look at our leaders in recent years) and that actually, the difference between us isn't that one nation is dumber than the other - it's the attitude of our stupid people:

Stupid Brits are proud of their stupidity
Stupid Yanks are oblivious of their stupidity

What do you think?

what on earth makes you think brits are proud of their stupidity and americans are not?

the trouble with americans is that theyre brought up in an individualist, insular culture, and one which celebrates violence and mistakenly believes that bigger is always better

result?

brash, selfish, aggressive people, full of hubris and incapable of constructive self-appraisal
I am aware of my stupidity, stupid.
You are correct. last night was very strange, most Uk and US people are fun.
Stupidity is stupid, regardless where they live.
Americans use the word Brits!
British people use the word Yanks!
I think your question is too much of a generalisation. Not all British people are stupid and neither are all Americans.I think stupidity is Universal !
we're oblivious because "oblivious" wasn't one of the words on sesame street. neither was " stroppy"
i think Americans have a serious problem with "constructive criticism". they think that u are "dissing"them like they are already perfect and the world is the problem.
its embarrassing and i have to live around these ppl.

go ahead put the thumbs down
I'm on the "late shift" most of the time, im not stroppy and im Irish....
