I think they should be taught to able to use their brains well enough to get through life without visiting the following areas. Jail, jail, jail, jail, brothels, holding cell in courthouses, Judge Judy shows, Emergency Rooms with complaints of " I think someone slipped me a roofie!", and Auditions for " The Next Porn Star of Sweden" show. If a marathon would do this, I'm all game. But I don't think it would.
No thats child abuse. Some people can't run for that long! They made me run a mile in 12th grade to pass gym....Really I went in the locker room and cryed after! :(
no way...I hated doing that crap in high school - it's not fair to people who are not athletes...I played softball and soccer but I was definitely NOT a runner haha and I hated running the mile...you should just have to walk for a certain amount of time so you're doing something...running should not be required to get a certain grade

That's a lil extreme...I think they've done enough. They've stayed in school & worked long and hard to graduate...I think they do enough....
No, because there are some people who are simply to out of shape, overweight, or both, to ever complete such a task.
