yes
i look forward to getting presents
I'm just excited that my half-sisters may come to Japan and visit my parents and me....But it's just a 'might.' But truthfully, Christmas basically means 'study-for-exams' for me, so I'm not looking forward to it very much....Oh well.
I cant wait for Santa to bring me another jar of mayonaise!!YAAAYY!!
yes it gives you a chance to watch easter egg adverts.lol
In someways I still am, like to see street with out so many cars, not so many people out & the only time of the year, when the shops are closed, well most shops, I think some are open now over this time.
Postpone it till Boxing day, that way you get the 50% sales...yippie!
Looking forward to spending the whole day with my hubby on our own for once, sick and tired of whinging, ungrateful relatives who spoil everything, I only ever spend a maximum of £10 on each Christmas pressies these days, too commercialised and expensive.
ya totally im looking forward so that i can hav fun with ma family and friends
I have been away from my home country for 2 years and am looking forward to seeing my parents, brother and cat at Christmas time. However, we stopped buying each other presents a few years ago. We also thought it was senseless. Usually, we all go to church on Christmas morning, then spend the afternoon having a nice picnic and enjoying each others company because it will probably be another 2+ years before we meet in person again.
It gets harder for us here in the city, considering, both of our families, are overseas but for our children's sake, we still do celebrate and after all, our Savior was born and yes, we do believe in Jesus.
I've got to a stage when christmas is no longer about presents, telly and snow. It's about getting as pi**ed as possible, eating as much as possible and milking as much christmas bonus as you can whilst doing as little work as possible. Bring on christmas and pile on the pounds!!!
Couldn't agree with you more.
I hate Christmas.. it's not what it used to be.
These days it's just a big, over-hyped consumer fest with people demanding the latest, most expensive presents to show that you care.
It's awful, just plain awful. Grrrrr
No, I like Christmas, it never gets boring! It comes only once a year, how could i t be boring?! I spend a lot of money during Christmas because it makes my family happy.
yes i totally agree with you,its a money making racket for the high street shops, things are getting more and more expensive, the true meaning of christmas has gone,it dosent seem magical anymore,as people are getting into debt, working all the hours god sends just to make the family happy with lots of presents, half of which they probably wont bother with, but because the child next door is having one, they want one.I enjoy it on the day,but the build up is a total nightmare
Not sure, my sister died last Christmas
My firm belief is everyone has the power to decide just how commercial and expensive they want their celebration of Christmas to be. Spending time with family and friends is, in the end, the most important part of Christmas.

I'm in retail and I know the importance also of the commercial side of Christmas. It isn't going to go away and while it is not something you have to like it's a lot easier to accept it. I realize that everything shouldn't be about the money but it IS how many people support their familes.

In the end you are, like I mentioned already, correct. Being with loved ones is what it is all about. Attending a a party or two or recieving and giving gifts can be added fun as well.
love it
YES! Christmas is my favorite time of the year.
yes people have forget the true meaning of Christmas,, its all about presents and how much u spend instead of the birth of Christ,,
no looking forward to seeing my grandsons face light up as he opens his presents
You're not odd...it has gotten very expensive, those people that buy gifts for everyone they know are just silly...It's all about Christ's birthday, not how many gifts are under the tree..spending time with family and friends is what it's all about.
I love it for my grandchildren but not for myself as my mum passed away at Christmas 7 years ago and i still can`t come to terms with it. i ripped all of the cards down and the tree. There will be many many people with the same trauma and my thoughts are with them. Hope everyone in the world has a wonderful time!
yes agree
I love Christmas and will celebrate with the same gusto as I have been doing all these years!!!
I am not. My father died December 5th, an aunt died December 25th and an uncle died on December 27 last year and all from the same family. All three of them died from cancer :(
Im looking forward to Christmas morning, watching my daughters open thier presents....im not looking forward to struggling financially to pay for it all....i've only just started shopping and im already skint!! I love christmas dinner but will probably take relatives up on thier offer of going to thiers...least i can relax. Also i hate to think of people on thier own at xmas and will be visiting elderly neighbours with a box of chocs off me and the girls xx
Arrrrgggggg no, whish it was over
