Answers: i would go with carpenter..... at least here, they make more money than firefighters or emts.... but you have more fun as a firefighter or emt!!! :-)

a carpenter. my step dad is an EMT. and he does not make very much money. it really depends on what state your in. NYFD makes ALOT of money because its new york. but if carpenters are in union they make ALOT.

The market for construction sucks right now, and the benefits are expensive if you own your own company. EMT's don't make much at all. Probably close to 30,000 a year, but the benefits are nice.
