Some weather experts are saying were in for a harsh winter were as others are saying a mild one, guess we'll have to wait and see.
The report on GMTV last week said we are in for a cold and less wet winter ! The Met office has predicted a drier and colder than last year seasonal forecast which you can read here

I have been pondering this one myself, personally I hope we have a colder one then last year - we only had 2 frosts here in Bristol! because my veg patch is desperately in need of some cold stuff and I love cold clear winter mornings.
Having said that it is still remarkably warm for the time of year so knowing my luck it will be mild again.
There is nothing worse than warm wet winters, give me rock hard frosts every day and I am a happy bunny.
i am in werstern Canada and i really hope not. we had over 3 months of high temperatures and no rain. if we don't get moisture this winter we are going to have a huge forest fire season next summer.
We've had a fairly mild summer, although the temperature range has been somewhat bizzare. We didn't really have a spring here in Washington DC, and summer temperatures randomly ranged between the mid-70's and mid-90's with no consistancy. We had almost no rain, which is rare for summer in DC. And it's October now and it was 90 yesterday. And still no rain.
At this point, I just don't know.
I think it will be a cold winter, hard winter. I think this winter will be a struggle!!
I am not sure about the others but I would like some snow under my feet.
Well after a rotten summer I would like to see a better winter. A bit of snow would be nice to give it a wintry feel. Not too much though.
I get chilblains in the colder weather so I hope it will be mild.
