I politely say that I am "Just Looking" and they usually get the hint.

i say "just looking" or if they are really persistant, i give them the ol' stink eye :) one time i went into those little hello kitty stationery stores, and those people follow you around but not to help you, they assume your going to steal something. its pretty racist cause i noticed they only do it to people of different ethnicities outside their own and i confronted the guy. felt good!

yes...all the time. I hate it too.. feel like the moment they see you they assume you're gonna steal something frm them..

if im in a good mood, i'll say politely, "Oh,Im just looking around"!

if im in a nasty mood, i'll say "Give me a break" or

"get real, Im not gonna steal these junks"!!

i agree with K, but i wouldnt make it too loud, silent but deadly. real quiet and really nasty, that way she knows its just for her.
