Question:
When you go to a restraunt/store/etc and use the bathroom do you ?
Do you really use the seat covers ? If there isn't any do you use toilet paper ? Do you wipe the toilet down first or what ?
After you wash your hands do you touch/grab the door handle to open the door ? If so whats the point of washing your hands then ? or do you use a paper towel or something of a sort to open the door ?

Answers: I wipe the toilet seat with toilet paper, use a seat cover (or two depending on how clean the bathroom looks, and if there's no seat cover, I use strips of tp to cover the seat), and I flush with my foot.
I use the paper towel that I used to dry my hands to open the door, then I use my foot to keep it open and toss the paper towel in the trashcan that's usually by the door. or if there isn't one I throw it away in the next trashcan I see. I go in the sink I NEVER sit on a public restroom!

NEVER!!! yeah. i use that cover. i didnt think about the doors. damn. know i now. ;] I DO use the seatcovers and if there arent any, I put hand sanitizer on toilet paper and wipe the seat. I do use my hands to open the door, but if you think about it, at least your hands are somewhat clean I wipe the seat down.....and I am a nurse, so I know all the tricks about using paper to turn off the water, and to open the door so you dont get more germs......I got so bad that I taught my kids how to do that, and usually they flush with their feet. I WISH I could go in the sink. Why must we all be so hung up about public toilets. If you gotta go, you gotta go. Just wash hands well after using. Either that or just always stay home so you never have to experience a public toilet. How wierd is that??? I use seat cvers and wipe it even in my own home. I always something like napkins if no tp. I wash my hands and use the same napkin to open the door and throw it away. Yes, I use seat covers- if no seat cover, I ring the toilet seat with toilet paper. I still hover though- I won't sit down. I then wrap my hands in TP so as not to touch latches or the door- who knows how many gross people get poop on their hands, then touch handles, etc.
When I wash my hands, I don't touch the handles or door or anything either- I wrap my hands in paper towels, etc., or at the very least, will use my shirt so as not to contaminate my hands after washing. I never wash my hands after using a public restroom, yet when I'm home, I wash my hands all the time. I don't use the seat covers since I don't even sit on the toilet and i just squat. Yes I do use toliet paper, If a stall doesn't have any I just go to the next one. And after I wash my hands I do grab teh door handle but it's no big deal. I mean you grab a lot of public door handles with out paper towel and you aren't worried about where those people hands have been then. I SQUAT...I NEVER TOUCH THE SEAT...AND THEN WHEN I WASH MY HANDS I USE PAPER TOWELS TO TURN THE FAUCET ON/OFF AND THEN I USE THE PAPER TOWEL TO OPEN THE DOOR. I first use the Seat Covers if the bathroom has it otherwise I will just hover over the toilet. Luckily, if there is no toilet paper, I have some in my bag so I can use that. I use the paper towel to open the door and I ALWAYS wash my hands. I am a guy, so I stand to pee, but #2 is another issue. If I ever need to do #2 in a store, I am usually in such a hurry for relief that I don't care about touching the seat directly.
Upon leaving, I try to touch the door at little as possible, using my pinkie to barely open the door. I do see how there are more germs on the door handles that you got rid of washing. I squat over the toilet and when I wash my hands I use the paper towel to open the door. I think it's really disgusting when someone leaves without washing their hands or just splashes water on them. Yes, at least 2 seat covers & I check for t.p. first. If it's really disgusting, I keep checking till I find the stall that is the lesser of all the evils. If it isn't an automatic flush, I use my foot. I always open the doors with a paper towel. I wash my hands under the automatic faucets. I'm not a clean freak at home, but public restrooms really are the pits. i squat.
