Funny you should ask, I havent had the opportunity to tell anyone,.....
I recently (2 yrs ago) joined the Railway Signalling industry in Australia.
I'm a project planner from "way back" and have always been involved with software developement.
So, for the last 2 yrs I've been trying to absorb the techie issues and naming conventions of Railway. The Company I work for are involved in Switches and Signals.
Anyway, I have recently taken to riding my pushbike to the nearest train station (3 miles) and then "training it" to work.
This morning, while standing in the train, balancing my bike against my leg, looking out the window at a 6am dawn,...I thought, 'Hey, why can't I ride down that section of train track?
In the back of my mind,..I heared myself say,...'Cause thats the Down Line.
Which meant that if I travelled on that line i would have a Head On Collission with a train.
So the Good Thing is that I am understanding the environment I work in, at last! hahaha
Rod I am alive. the person i hate tripped and broke her nose...i was hoping for every bone in her body I woke up. My fiance made me breakfast!! i got to sleep in...thats about it ? God woke me up this morning! My internet service is still on and today is payday. Instead of going out spending my paycheck Im On YA I got out of work early. ................................. just got to school! I woke up. I consider that a good start:) thankful that i am in a bit less pain today and can interact just a bit more with my parrots after major surgery a week ago. my boyfriend and i got in a fight last night and today he appologized. so that was good. I woke up to a quiet house and coffee was already made.
(I've learned to appreciate the really small things) I woke up and remembered that it's friday. That's always good. I woke up and my wife was sleeping beside, smiling. I woke up, got to work safely, am wearing a cute shirt...and it looks awesome, I have a family that loves me...and hopefully I get to this all again tomorrow. so far today....hmmm, it's 8:30am, I got my girls to school on time...... My mum treated me a a fab new handbag. And someone said my hair looked pretty down, coz she only usually see's me at work when I have to wear it up. Also I woke up healthy. My day has yet to start.Gotta have my COFFEE. I got my grades for 3 of my tests I took in college last week. A in Commercial Law 302, A in Econ 201, and A (specifically 97%, highest grade in the class) in Accounting 206. Still waiting on Calculus though. So I'd say it's a pretty good freakin' day. I woke up this morning to a beautiful day, to hear the voice of my gorgeous 4-yr old saying "good morning, Mommie". When I looked over at her, she had the cutest smile on her face while she stood next to my bed. Can't get much better than that. :-) I woke up to a kiss from my hubby and him telling me he loves me and will see me soon. He didn't know I was awake but did it anyways. A stranger I met on the street told me I am lovely. Great coffee!
