What is your definition of a "needy" person?!

Question:

What is your definition of a "needy" person?

Have you ever been considered "needy", when it was completely unfounded?

Answers: I'v Never Bee Needy, Im Independant. Needy People Tend To Be Co-Dependant On Others, Its Almost As If They Cant Do Anything For Themselves! INDEPENDANCE RULES! someone who always have to be around you, always have to know where you are when you coming back, who you're talking to. You have to do everything with them....it's so annoying Never in my life have i ever been the needy type. well i can only answer the first question, the second one would be the others person opinions...but needy is

someone who had to talk to you ALL day, know where you are at ALL times, someone who doesnt let you go out, someone who always needs attention or to be touched or something....someone who needs gifts or money to be happy....all those things would be needy Someone whos always whining for you to help them, or carry this, open that... Can someone pay my next semester college regristration fees ??? Pretty please, My definition of a needy person is rather narrow compared to most, I'm sure. I consider a person needy when they don't have the basic necessities of life, such as food, shelter, clothing or medicine, and they have absolutely no way of getting them or earning money for them. Outside of that, I consider most people to be merely "wanty."

The type of person you're describing is not needy, but rather VERY insecure and immature. a needy person
in love with sumone always wanting to be with them
they need someone
and their full care and attention
----
or desperate wud be the same but single person
bit of a nagging hag
x homeless? Someone who can not take care of themself and "needs" (hense the word needy) you to hold them up, and tend to their every want.

No, I am definitely not a needy person, and would never want to be with one either! I'm pretty independent and can do things for myself, I'm a big girl. A needy person to me is someone who lives at or below the poverty line $$$ .Someone who cannot pay their bills, buy groceries, buy decent clothing to wear, have no transportation, and live in low income houseing in a poor section of town
I believe that sometimes people do need help, some of those who move to another town or city in order to find better paying jobs, need help with food, gas, bill, and perhaps a 1st months rent, I see nothing wrong with getting help "IF YOU REALLY ARE TRYING TO HELP YOURSELF AND NOT TRYING TO JUST GET WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR THE SAKE OF GETTING IT, WHEN THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE WHO REALLY NEED IT ON A CONTINOUS BASIS'
SUCH AS ELDERLY,OR SICKLY.
and yes I have been there.and PRAISE GOD I AM IN A GOOD WAY NOW.
