I just started this job in july. I have been feeling crappy all week but it has been like sinus crappy, then last night my stomache started in. I just don't think I would have been productive today and my boss was really cool about it. I apologized and said if he needs me to call me (it is just me and him in the office) but I just feel like crap and I am so tired.

One morning I got up and threw up 2 times and was so sick I was convinced I had the stomach flu. I called into work and then like 1 hour or 2 after my shift started I felt better and continued to feel better the whole day. I thought well if I had known this was going to happen I could have went on to work. OMG!!! no I cant say that has happened but I have called in cause I was at home partying and i didnt want to stop partying. WHat should I do what should I do? Yes that makes me feel guilty for some reason.
What I usually do, is go to work and then let the supervisor send me home. If my illness continues, I don't feel bad about calling in the 2nd day, because my boss has already seen for herself that I am dog sick and I'm not just taking off to party. You can't beat chucking a sickie every now and again. So what if you're not entirely unwell... everyone needs an extra day off once in a while. We all spend most of our lives at work anyway, so a wee day-off isn't going to do anyone any harm.
Your manager might not like it if you're doing it every week though!
