Answers: Nooo it doesn't matter as long as your healthy and happy nothing other than that matters! x In the US they usually go by width. Yes it is, around our way you have to be small enough
not to be seen. It used to but now they'll take a tall dwarf I dunno about the law but the man himself would be pretty self-conscious if he was 4 feet running after a 7 foot criminal. its not a prerequisite but it makes them feel good lecturing you whilst looking down there noses at you not anymore it isn't. back in the day you had to be a certain height but then they run out of giants so allowed dwarves to join. Hopefully if you do join up I wont have the pleasure of meeting you! Not any more! It used to be if you were under a certain height then they wouldn't let you join (can't actually remember exactly what height it was!), but not nowadays.
They will look for many other things, such as qualifications and what kind of person you are, and any special skills or abilities rather than how tall you happen to be. no In the U.S. I think it is, I'm 6'4"(1.93m) and have been able to intimidate and disrespect shorter officers and get away with it, I wouldn't recommend going out and messing with short cops just for the f*ck of it though, whenever i do it it's because I know i've done nothing wrong.

The minimum height requirement was scrapped quite some time ago now on the basis of equal opportunities. People from certain ethnic groups (particularly oriental) were disadvantaged by a minimum height requirement because many struggled to meet the requirement.
Although I'm 6'3 I have worked with a male colleague of 5'2 who is a born natural for under cover work because people assume a man of that height and quite small build would never be a police officer, so it can have it's advantages.
On the other hand, whether you like it or not, a police officer is going to find themselves in confrontational and violent situations from time to time, I've always felt a bit of height is an advantage in those circumstances. Dunno about the UK, but if you come up short in the US the cops just hand out some stilts. Slows the recruits down for a while, but with practice they can outrun even the worst crackheads. It does look kind of funny but hey,America really needs more cops! PS Just joking, folks. We have great police in our little town. Really. nope, as long as you're dick's small enough.....
