I got one today for $115 for double parking when it was opposite side of the street parking. NYC has gone crazy with the dumb ticketing! Ugh!

Yes, and i fought it, and didn't end up having to pay for it! Ha, take THAT cops! j/k :) Parking? No. Speeding-two. Sliding through a stop sign-one. The last one particularly miffed me because the cars ahead of me did it and the cars behind me did it. I did do it, though so there was no use fighting it. I got one just last week for parking on the wrong side of the street for street cleaning. $50 too.
I won't fight it because I'm lazy. yes, many when I lived in NJ, agree I hate them, speeding tickets too I agree, I haven't gotten a parking ticket, yet. No. not yet. nope Yes I have. Once> No I didn't fight it. It was in a 2 hour zone and I was there more than 2 hours so I deserved it! all the time..the traffic cops out here in nyc are hounds..i swear..they stand there and wait for your meter to expire just so that they can give u a ticket..I hate them! yes at the beach we parked 2 cars in a handicap spot that was along the sidewalk the ones with the meters, it was only 20.00 but still the beach was packed and was no were else to park so we said screw it I got a ticket for street cleaning. I did not fight it. What could I say? yes, i have gotten one at my college campus. it wasn't even my fault. my younger sister took my car on the weekend and removed my parking permit. i always leave it up. so, i didn't even bother checking it. i get out of class at night and i find the parking ticket. of course, the police station is closed at 10 pm. luckily, my college allows us one free pass each quarter. it's not routine for me. it was my one and only one. No! I don't even have my license yet! Yes... and I was so mad.. I got the ticket while my car was parked in front of my house... There were a couple of other cars in front of me, so I squeezed in at the end, & the ticket was for blocking the sidewalk... And people NEVER use the sidewalk anyways..!! But it was so long ago I don't remember what I did about it.. Probably just paid it.. Parked my car near a church..it was a Saturday afternoon..there were other cars too. Left the car there for about an hour whilst shopping. A couple of weeks later got a fine in the mail from the police..stating that I parked outside a church whilst it was not allowed. Had to pay 100 bucks yes probably about 20 for night parking...never learn I guess...let my bf put his truck in my name now I owe about $800 in parking tickets...I figure if I go there with half the money they'll take it and run!...such a waste though
:( I've gotten quite a few parking tickets - the street where I live does street sweeping & they'll ticket your car if it's left on the same side that they're cleaning that particular day.
Haven't fought a parking ticket simply because I've seen that I was "wrong" in each instance where I received said ticket. (There was a sign clearly saying "no parking" or whatnot within sight of my car) and I take responsibility for not following those rules. yes
