Can someone please explain to me how to jump start a car?
I'm a chick, and accident prone, so please don't tell me to do the wrong thing, and blow up my car, because I probably would.

hope i helped!!! get another car and get the cables and start the other car, u might wanna ask for some help :) i don't have a clue... that's what triple a is for Ok push the car up to the top of a really big hill (make sure it is in nuetral) then, start to push it down the hill, running beside it JUMP in the car and turn the key to START it before it crashes into another car, fence, house or person.
JK!!! Seriously I couldn't give you an accurate answer other than, this, flag down a police officer and tell him that you are stuck and don't know how to start it. I have never had to jump start my own car, I always was able to have someone save "the damsel in distress"! Sorry! :( 1.) Park the running vehicle in front of or along side the vehicle to be jump started;
2.) Open both hoods;
3.) Shut off the engine of the running vehicle;
4.) Attach the red cable to the positive (+) post and the black cable to the negative (-) post on the battery of the vehicle which will be providing the jump start;
5.) Attach the red cable to the positive (+) post and the black cable to the negative (-) post on the battery of the vehicle which will be receiving the jump start;
6.) Start the vehicle which is providing the jump start;
7.) Wait several minutes so the running vehicle can charge the dead battery;
8.) Start the vehicle with the dead battery;
9.) Remove the battery cables, starting with the red cable from each battery followed by the black cables.
