Answers: in your closet Zee bank!! In the bank. In several stores and maybe one car dealer. In my pocket! hahaha just kidding turn it into the police. On your roof. not kidding spend some and then hide the rest in a bank and your purse. I don't. I really don't want kidnappers shooting me in the neck. i wouldnt keep it i would turn it in to the police. bad karma I'll put in the bank in the safe at home. putting it in the bank would be to suss... Why hide it? Turn it in to the police, they will give you a receipt. If no one claims it in 30 days, it's yours! Depends how much was in there. If it was only like $100 then I'd keep it. The finder's keeper rules.
If it was like several thousand, then I would have to do the righ thing and try to find the rightful owner. I wouldn't hide it I'd take it home In my dresser I don't hide it I spend it and go to a brothel to have fun give it to the police so i won't get in trouble I casually pick it up, pretend it is mine (slap head, sigh, etc.) and walk away into a small area with no onlookers, then stuff it into my backpack and walk home casually.
When I get there, lock it up in a cabinet and go out to buy a gun safe. Install it in the attic (or any confined secluded area with enough space), bolt it down, and set a lock code. Store money inside, then occasionally spend on common products (food, cleaning supplies, etc.) while keeping my paycheck for myself.
Once I have done this for a year, invest 50% of the remaining money securely. Watch it grow.
Wait one more year. Cash in all paychecks and store all money in gun safe. Once ready, take out just enough to survive for 2 months, then invest the remaining in 50% low-risk investments, 35% medium-risk, and 15% high-risk. Continue to live normally until I reach 40 years. Take out 50% of each investment, and have a small fortune.
Continue again until retirement. Invest all available money, watch it grow, and leave a huge fortune to my heirs (or blow it all on hookers). Best is send it to the police station especially there are cards in it like IC, Credit cards. This will ease a lots of problem in renewing the new ones and when they have to report lost of credit card most likely they will inform by the Police that their bags are found. If I found a bag with a lot of money on the street, obviously I'd recognize one of my prayers answered and take it home, count it in private, count it again, and again, and then again, (it's really a lot) and then I'd disburse it appropriately. I assume you mean a whole A**LOAD of $$$. I would turn it in.
1. It could be hot, and SOMEONE will be looking for it, whether the police, or a very mean and angry man.
2. Not the bank - the IRS would want to know how I got it.
3. Not at home - see #1.
If I turn it in, there's the POSSIBILITY I may get a reward or even get to keep it, if no one claims it. (Of course, the damn IRS will still get their paws on some of it - but at least it will be legit.)
