Once again, why do they input mechanical laughing on funny primetime tv shows?!

Question:

Once again, why do they input mechanical laughing on funny primetime tv shows?

Is it to let the audience know when to laugh or when the funny part comes? Or is it part a a big weird consipiracy to make everyone go crazy? Also, sometimes I find myself feeling kinda "uncool" when the mechanical audience laughs but I don't find that specific part funny... so sometimes I laugh anyway because the mechanical audience is laughing at it. But I still don't find that part funny. What do I do? Laugh with 'them' or don't laugh and find it kinda weird?
Also, it makes me feel left out when they laugh and I dont laugh. But it would be kinda weird if the mechanical laugh was taken out....then what would happen?

Answers: huh????there not real people laughing??????well thanks alot becuz they're not that funny!

hahahahahaha Laughter should come naturally; canned laughter is essentially coaching people to react a certain way. When you're with a friend who says something funny, he or she doesn't have to say "That was funny: laugh" in order for you to do that. TV should be no different. There's no reason for you to feel like there's something wrong with you if a sitcom doesn't make you laugh. Personally I like the show "Scrubs", which I find funny (though a bit inconsistent), and they have no laugh tracks.
