Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni?!

Question:

Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni?

Answers: The British made that up, go ask them. He was hungry! cause he already named his hat cheese. to rhyme with pony Pink Floyd wnet back in time and told him to. OR he was hungry. Possibly because it had the same curl-shape as a macaroni noodle For all the good reasons. because it reminded him of his younger days back on the farm... he must have been drunk because Aaron doesn't rhyme with pony. i don't know how to answer that....2 points Hey, been on the back of a horse for so long wandering the hot desert with no water of course you start naming all the things including the Macaroni feather stick in his hat...btw the name of the horse was Mr. Ed Macaroni was the pony's name. Not the hat!!! Thats his favorite food?? he was stoned and had the munchies hehe
