Question:

Is there a trick to getting silly putty out of couch cushions and carpet?

Answers:

Put a bunch of icecubes in a ziplock bag, and lay the bag on top of the silly putty. Leave it alone for 10 minutes. It should be stiff enough to pick off. I have spent a lot of time on my belly with little scissors cutting things out of the carpet. Ice is the cure for silly putty, and WD40 gets it off, but then you have to get that off everything. I'd try picking it. And post this over in the cleaning section, they saved my leather couch.
