Whats the going rate for a life coach, should I go to school for that?

Life coaching is typically offered by companies that specialize in training coaches, as opposed to universitires (if that's what you meant by "school"). You can find many of these companies and training courses on the Internet, but it's best to do some research and find a course that suits your learning style.

The "going rate" for a coach typically starts pretty low, mostly because the young coach doesn't have the confidence to charge more. Over time, however, whenever the coach is busy enough, it is time to raise the fees. Some clients leave, but most of them stay and pay more, because good coaching is worth a lot more than what they pay.

For this reason, support yourself with another job while you study and build your practice. This will allow you to coach from a position of abundance and inner peace.

Experienced coaches, especially ones coaching business people and corporate executives, command high rates, which can be up to a few hundred dollars per hour of coaching. Some get "retainers", which guarantee a good income on a regular basis.

One very important point to note here: life coaching is an EXTREMELY rewarding profession, where the money is almost a bonus, but it is not for everyone. You have to like people and want to help them. If you want to try this for the money, please reconsider.
