Was this cruel of me???

I was walking down the street and I saw an old lady. I thought "she must be waiting to cross the road!" So I dragged her across the road. She whacked me with her handbag and said she didn't need help!

I was so insulted, I pushed her into some bushes! Now I feel bad. Was it wrong of me?
