Answers:

Born into a world that he never learned. Not until he grew older. He was a simple child. Abandoned at birth, he was rescued by a woman with a Ph.D in nursing, and was adopted. That's about all he knew of his past. That's about all he cared for. He was happy with himself. Plenty of siblings, also adopted by the Yale University nurse, he grew up in a normal lifestyle. Good friends. Good family. Adequate schooling. As he grew, he came to know a little bit of Jesus Christ, and accepted Him into his life, not fully knowing what he was doing. But his mother had also believed in Him, so he thought it was the right thing to do. He pretty much was sheltered. Sure, he was allowed to go out and do whatever as he got older, but it was his own decision not to indulge in drugs and alcohol. He had continued to shelter himself from the world. Life was good. However, there was a turning point in his life. He had graduated high school. Yes, he had applied to many colleges. And yes, he had gotten accepted into one. However, he did not know what he was going to do, as his family could not afford to send him to college, even though he would've been the first of his siblings to go. Financial aid was not an option. He was not gifted enough to win scholarships. And he refused to take out loans. So, not wanting to be a disappointment to his rescuer (unlike all his other siblings, who seemed to have no ambitions toward life) and to himself, he fled home. As a last resort to start a successful adulthood, he had enlisted himself into the United States Marine Corps...

And for a while, it wasn't too bad. He had progressed though and graduated Boot Camp. He had earned the title, "Marine". He had gone through his training and schooling to perform the job he chose to do. He met many people along the start of his journey into adulthood. Strange characters. Interesting characters. Awful characters. Boring characters. People of all types. However, he was still just a baby, in the military at 18. There were times he would doubt himself, but he'd turn to the Lord our God for guidance. His introduction into the Marine Corps went smoothly for the most part. However, it was once he was truly on his own, had he began to see things from a new perspective. He observed his surroundings, and began to notice the depravity of humankind. He constantly sought guidance in the Lord, but the more he did, the more doubtful he became. It was then he put his faith in his religion into question. He tried to remain faithful, but it all did not make sense. All of a sudden, his religion did not make sense. All of a sudden, nothing made sense. He came crashing down on himself. This is what he sheltered himself from his entire life. Was he ready to see it? Not a chance. But it all came at him in one fell swoop. And so he fell into a secret depression, one that continues to this very day. Trusting no one but himself, he sought self-improvement, and he used the Marine Corps for that. And he has. He was able to put all of the morbid thoughts of the world into his own perspective. The chaos of the world is his guiding light. And so, he picked himself up, thinking he was going to make it after all. Sure, he breaks down from time to time, but he knows that he has what it takes to be somebody, to achieve his dreams, and to thank the one woman who had saved his life. The only woman that loved him. His actions, his words. All for her. He lives on to this very day, striving to his dreams.
