Do you ever look back and realize your life wasn't half bad?

I always grew up thinking I was being held back because of the way I was raised, a Jehovah's Witness. Having to skip holidays and having stricter rules to abide by than my peers and classmates.

Even though I'm not a practicing Jehovah's Witness, as an adult I realize it gave me morals and standards I still use today that have kept me out of trouble and harm's way.

I may not have gotten to go trick-or-treating or painted egg's for Easter as a child but in the end's i think it's worth it.

Yeah I do all the time. I take a look back sometimes when i was younger and think to myself "Wow I pretty cool" and I think that I did not relize back then how much I really "got" things and how much I was a can do person. I never really thought about it when I was living it, and asummed that everyone else was like me, but now I see that it was not the case.
